Alesha Dixon has been officially announced as the new judge on the upcoming seventh series of Strictly Come Dancing, the BBC confirm. Alesha, who won the fifth series of the show, said she is "honoured and excited" to be joining the show where she will replace long time judge Arlene Phillips. Phillips is to join The One Show as their resident Strictly Come Dancing expert. "Once you are part of Strictly Come Dancing, you are part of the family and I do feel that about the show," Alesha told Sky News last month when the panel change was first rumoured. "If it wasn't for Strictly, I wouldn't be here because it really has changed my life."
