Paula Abdul has said she blames fellow American Idol judge Simon Cowell for persistent rumours that she has a drug habit. "Simon [Cowell] started a very silly joke rumour that's turned into a very frustrating time for me," Paula told the US press. "People have been blowing this out of proportion. I've been nothing but the bravest kind of girl who has been dealing with a tremendous amount of spinal cord injury and people forget that. I've had at least five surgeries in the past eight seasons of American Idol. But ever since Simon made a joke it has never been left alone. But now I am officially saying it is over. It was just a joke - it's not real."
