A listers pay tribute to Heath Ledger

Michelle Williams, Naomi Watts, Ellen DeGeneres and Philip Seymour Hoffman have paid tribute to Heath Ledger in a Magazine article.

A number of Heath Ledger's friends and colleagues have been paying touching tribute to the tragic and actor and shared their fond memories in the new issue of Interview Magazine. Ex-girlfriend Naomi Watts spoke of his love of chess. “He was a huge, obsessive, chess freak – and very, very good at it.” Most recent girlfriend Michelle Williams said, “He had uncontrollable energy. He buzzed, his mind was turning, turning, turning – always turning.” While Ellen DeGeneres said, “He didn’t try to be something that he wasn’t. And I appreciated that.” I'm Not There writer Todd Haynes said, “That performance in Brokeback Mountain was such a sensitive, understated, controlled interpretation of this character. The entire emotional power of that film, which is enormous, resides in that performance, and how much Heath holds in.” Phillip Seymour Hoffman added, “Whenever Heath talked about something he liked, he did it in the way that any fan would. He wasn’t somebody trying to cover up his excitement about something, or someone.”
