Buying: It’s nearing the end of the month so I’m not exactly feeling flush in the cash department, however, it’s Ma Holman’s birthday, so I’m going to have to get creative. Fortunately our Beauty Bargainista section is on hand with some suggestions – so I’m going to head over to House of Fraser and make the best of their Beauty Confidential promotion (which runs out on Sunday). If you spend £50 in store, you get £10 off iconic beauty products. Both my mum and I will be sporting new products on our dressing tables after that!
Doing: I’m going to the Shellsuit Shakedown at Carnivale in Whitechapel on Saturday night. If you haven’t guessed from the name, this is an '80s night. If that wasn’t amazing enough, it’s free to get in, and there’s 40% off drinks between 8-9pm. All I need to do now is dig out Kim Wilde’s greatest hits and start practising those dance moves (inspiration: Molly Ringwald in The Breakfast Club, obviously).
