A bit of a charmer, Jack comes from the 51st Century and is the first openly bisexual companion to be seen on Doctor Who. After being left behind by the Doctor and Rose during a conflict with the Daleks, Captain Jack went on to become leader at the new Torchwood Institute

Sarah Jane Smith

Elisabeth has returned to the role of Sarah nine times since she left Doctor Who in 1976, most recently colliding with the tenth Doctor (David Tennant) for the episode \'School Reunion\'

Rose Tyler

Our favourite companion to date has to be the lovely Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) who joined the Doctor in his ninth incarnation (played by Christopher Eccleston). She is perfect combination of all the Doctor\'s best companions and she is also one of the few ladies in the Doctor\'s life to touch his heart… We\'ll miss you Rose :(
