The Great Escape vibe: The Great Escape touts itself as Europe’s leading festival for new music, and so has lots of relative unknowns playing, which also makes it the place real music-lovers head. Over 300 bands play in 30 venues over three days in the city of Brighton, while street artists play in the streets. The vibe is full of fun, and brilliant on a summer loving day.
The Great Escape 2011 line-up: Friendly Fires, Katy B, War Paint, Villagers, Twin Shadow Brother, Little Dragon, The Wave Pictures, The Heartbreaks, Nedry and WorriedAboutSatan are the names you’re more likely to recognise, and many, many more will be playing at The Great Escape 2011.
