What's the story?
The Welsh rockers are back on the UK live circuit with a new album and a new band member to show off and, boy, did they show off! Situated in the mammoth Birmingham NEC Arena, Kelly and co took gig-goers through a journey of their greatest hits, live favourites and a sweet sprinkling of sounds from latest No 1 album Pull The Pin.
Who's in it?
Support act The Enemy helped kicked off proceedings with a flawless, crowd-pleasing performance of current hits including Away From Here and Had Enough. Then the 'Phonics took to the stage, opening with the aggressive, brash, foot-stomping download favourite Bank Holiday Monday - floors got bouncy and walls shook.
Will I get bored?
No chance. I can't praise this band's live performance enough. If possible, they sounded better than they do on record - totally gelling together on stage and looking like they were loving every minute. The awesome acoustics and kicking crowd in the Birmingham NEC proved why the 'Phonics site this arena as one of their favourite venues to play live.
Best bit
Hard to pick a precise moment. Kelly's acoustic set in the middle shone through with haunting versions of old-school favourites Hurry Up And Wait, Traffic and Have A Nice Day, but the band's encore of Dakota really got the crowd moving - and surfing! This is one live act you have to catch in your lifetime, don't miss out!
