Having been on yet another hiatus (they first disappeared in 1982 after a lack of fan interest and a potentially-fatal skin disease for guitarist Chris Stein and then going AWOL for eight years after their comeback in 1999), Blondie are back and keeping with the times, despite the fact that Debbie Harry is now a respectable 65 years old. Kicking off to a great start with a spot of cyber-punk (D-Day and What I Heard) Panic of Girls dwindles with some unfortunate reggae tunes. While some of the album does lacks lustre, the fact that it’s Blondie should make this a welcome addition to your iTunes library.

Incubus’ Brandon Boyd has declared their sixth studio album If Not Now, When? as the band’s ‘romantic love letter to the world’. “It’s darker, slower, more rich, more refined, and more involved than anything Incubus has birthed to date,” Boyd explained in an update to fans on their site.
Sounds like exciting stuff. For Incubus fans If Not now, When? is going to be a must-buy. If you’re looking to dip your toes into Incubus’ music – this is probably a good album to start with.

skying - the horrors
The Horrors debut album, Strange House, was unfavorably received, with many critics claiming that they were more style than substance. After going off to lick their wounds, their second EP Primary Colours (released in 2007), saw them nominated for a Mercury Prize. Now the band are back with their third album Skying, which has been met with much praise so far - The BBC even described song Endless Blue as ‘Oasis with Bowie on vocals’ and describing the band themselves as ‘national treasures in waiting’. This is an album you don’t want to miss.
