Britney’s latest run in with police, paparazzi and her parents could have far reaching consequences for the troubled star as it’s claimed Britney’s parents are now planning some sort of intervention. Exactly what happened isn’t clear but gossip sites suggest Britney had a huge row with ‘manager’ Osama Lufti which resulted in him banning her on/off boyfriend Adnan Ghalib from the house, left Britney crying on the street and needed Britney’s mum Lynne and police to come and sort it out. TMZ claims Britney’s parents are to stage some sort of intervention to get her professional help. However, Britney’s problems are believed to be mental rather than substance based and she can’t be involuntarily committed to a hospital meaning she has to go along with any plans for treatment.

Britney\'s legal team decide to stick it out
Britney Spears\' legal eagles Trope and Trope changed their minds and decided to continue litigating her custody battle with Kevin Federline. On January 2 they filed a request to be excused from the case saying, “There has been a breakdown in communications making further representation of her interests impossible." A court hearing to settle the problem was even set for February 4. But spokeswoman Meredith Pierce confirmed the firm had withdrawn their request.

Britney Spears was spotted with Adnan Ghalib, her paparazzi ex boyfriend who it’s believed she’d split with days earlier after she believed he was exploiting their relationship to manufacture pictures for his photo agency. Even more surprising is that she was pictured back with the snapper, who hails from Birmingham, the same night the first half of his tell all TV interview with powerful US show Entertainment Tonight was broadcast.

Though it was reported that Britney Spears had shown paps a restraining order she’d taken out against recent boyfriend Adnan Ghalib because she felt he was trying to manufacture photos of her to this photo agency. Adnan was quick to deny the story. In a statement released through his photo agency (who else?) he said. “All I can say is I have not been in contact with Britney since early Friday morning. The reason being, that I have had to attend a family funeral in Santa Barbara. My phone has been off during this time out of respect for my family. I am only now becoming aware of what is being said. I hope to be back home in Los Angeles soon and to be in contact with Miss Spears.”

Britney voted most attractive female celebrity
Her performances have been slammed, her album under-performed, lost custody of her children and mocked everyday in press but at last Britney had something to smile about. Readers of Hello Magazine in the US have voted her the Most Attractive Female Celebrity. Britney beat the likes of Angelina Jolie to the top spot. Unbelievable!

Despite being photographed shopping for pregnancy tests with new boyfriend Adnan Ghalib Britney Spears is definitely not pregnant. Speaking to Access Hollywood her new \'manager\' Osama Lufti said, "“It’s all bulls**t. They’re just toying with the paparazzi." Interestingly the photo agency that papped the crazy couple and sold the exclusive snaps, Finalpixx, was the very same agency that Adnan, a pap himself, works for. Who\'d have thought!

On the same night her court no show meant she lost visitation rights to sons Sean Preston and Jayden James indefinitely Britney and her new boyfriend were pictured browsing pregnancy tests at an LA Drug Store. A source told OK Magazine, “The court\'s taken Preston and Jayden away, so she\'ll just have another kid to take their place. That\'s the way she thinks.” While gossip blog Dlisted simply said, “If this is true....Adnan just hit the lottery.”

Despite making it to the court house Britney’s failure to make it inside to testify resulted in her being blocked from seeing her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James “indefinitely”. According to TMZ who had cameras covering the court all day Britney arrived for the 9am hearing at lunchtime, drove around the parking garage, met two of her lawyers - Anne Kiley and Tara Scott – and told them she didn’t want to testify. But she did come back, only to get out of her SUV and tell the assembled pap circus, "I\'m scared. I want to get in the car. I\'m going in the car," before driving off. Good to see she’s prepared to fight for her boys.

As if things couldn’t get any worse for Britney it was reported that sixteen year old sister Jamie Lynn was so concerned by Britney’s behaviour that she has banned her from visiting her baby which is due in the summer. As if that’s not enough (when is it ever with Britney?) her current squeeze, Adnan Ghalib, is said to be selling shots of his and Brit’s post-hospital trip to Palm Springs together. The current asking price? A cool million dollars.

Britney rushed to hospital after breakdown
After months of strange and unusual behaviour Britney Spears was finally rushed to hospital at around 1.15am after a dramatic stand off with police. Officials were called to her home after she refused to hand over custody of her sons ex husband Kevin Federline’s body guards. Officers on the scene called an ambulance as they were said to have been concerned by her behaviour and believed she was under the influence of an as yet unknown substance. After a arriving under police escort she received psychiatric evaluation at the famous Cedars Sinai Medical centre. LA gossip site TMZ.com is reporting that youngest son Jayden James was also taken to hospital though there is no official confirmation of this.

Britney Spears’ legal dramas continued after her lawyers filed papers to withdraw themselves from representing the troubled star. Trope and Trope, now the third law firm to drop Britney, are thought to have dumped her after she failed to turn up to court for her latest court ordered deposition for a fifth time. In court papers Trope and Trope said, “There has been a breakdown in communications between [Britney] and Trope and Trope making further representation of her interests impossible."

For the first time in months Britney Spears appeared to show she cared about something other than Starbucks and paprazzi scrums. Sources claim she feels she is to blame for not setting a better example to her pregnant younger sister Jamie Lynn. Apparently Britney told friends, “I’ve done some pretty dumb stuff and haven’t been a good role model. I warned this girl, I really did. She seemed to take my advice. I’m really disappointed in her. I told her over and over just to be a kid and let the adult things like sex and drinking wait. I just can’t believe she’s pregnant. She is way too young to be a mom. She should be having fun and stuff, not having a baby.” In fairness to Jamie Lynn though, if Britney gave you advice, would you take it?

Britney Spears rushed to hospital for second time
Britney was rushed to hospital and "forcibly committed" for her mental problems. The drama was three hours in the making after indecision from police and paramedics on the best way to proceed after a psychiatrist at Britney\'s LA home had called the emergency services. Paparazzi covering Britney\'s house claim to have heard and paramedics use the phrases "suicide attempt", "Britney unconscious" and "possible resuscitation" before they left for hospital. The LA Times reported that, "The motorcade that whisked Spears to the hospital also showed a large investment in resources. The line of emergency vehicles stretched longer than a football field."
