Matt Damon The Adjustment Bureau video interview
Matt Damon says he sometimes looks back at his life and realises he didnt have control over things.
When I look back at my life, some of the best things that have happened to me, happened in a series of consequences that I didnt have any control over, Matt says in our video interview. So it makes me wonder whether or not theres an adjustment bureau there, kind of guiding me along.
In his new movie The Adjustment Bureau, Matt plays US senator David Norris. He meets Elise, a woman who makes him consider giving up his day job, much to the frustration of The Adjustment Bureau, who make sure that everything goes according to the plan.
Hes being groomed by The Adjustment Bureau to be the president, Matt explains. And into that life comes this woman who just basically bowls him over. He decides pretty early on that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.
But although Matt believes there are some things he doesnt have control over, he says that its best to go through life thinking that your decisions matter.
I always feel like my decisions matter and there will be consequences to the things that I decide. Thats a good way to go through life, to believe that youre controlling your destiny.
