With Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows out on Friday, we caught up with Matthew Lewis and Evanna Lynch, who play Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood, to talk about how they think their characters have evolved.
Neville starts off in part one hes on his way back to Hogwarts, hes very much aware of what this years going to entail, explains Matthew. Hes aware that Hogwarts isnt a nice place and not a safe place anymore. Part one is him preparing himself for taking over Dumbledores Army, trying to lead the students in someway, trying to keep their spirits up until Harry can come and save the day.
Lunas in the midst of all this danger, but at the same time she manages to keep positive and keep a brave face on, adds Evanna before continuing, I love Luna. I feel privileged to play her because shes strong, shes not confident but shes happy.
I think the two of them, Neville and Luna, they get bullied and teased and I think they are aware of that, but neither of them will change for that reason. And I think thats an inspiration for people that are being bullied.
