Emma Watson interview

by Anneke Hak

Emma Watson thinks that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two is going to exceed fans’ expectations. “I think it will really exceed their expectations. It completely exceeded mine. It’s so dramatic and so emotionally heavy. Such amazing special effects. It’s a real full circle and it really feels like it wraps it up in the most final way,” Watson, 21, explains in our video interview.

The Harry Potter actress is also excited about what fans can expect from her character Hermione.

“She went from this girl who just wanted to please, to someone who’s very independent-minded. She has become so much more complex and subtle and she turned into a real action hero. I’ve been likening her to Lara Croft,” Watson says.

But having gotten to know Hermione so well through playing her, she’s also going to be sad to say goodbye,

“I’ll just miss being her,” she says. “Walking around in this world and getting to be such a wonderful character.”

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two is released in cinemas on Friday 15 July.
