Just like a prayer

No choice your voice can

take me there

Like A Prayer, became a No 1 hit for Madonna in March 1989 and stayed in the top spot for three weeks. Like A Prayer remains one of Madonna\'s most controversial music videos to date, having ticked off the religious world more than a little because it seemed to depicted the queen of pop making out with a saint.

Michael Jackson -- Billie Jean

Michael Jackson, music, pop, music video Michael Jackson -- Billie Jean : Top 10 No 1 records from the \'80s Billie jean is not my lover
Shes just a girl
Who claims that I am the one

He may not be the most popular man these days, but there\'s no doubting Michael Jackson\'s talent for producing perfect pop songs. Billie Jean hit No 1 in February 1983 but only managed to hold on for one week. It was toppled by Bonnie Tyler\'s Total Eclipse Of The Heart but, much as we love that song, we firmly believe this was the best No 1 single of the \'80s. Shamone.
