What's the story?
Firmly established Belgian chocolatiers Neuhaus (pronounced ‘nye-house') have been in the business 150 years and to celebrate they've opened a new chocolate café in London's chic Duke Of York Square.
Who goes there?
Chocoholics (us included) were seen simultaneously swigging chocolate cocktails with wild abandon while stuffing their mouths with gooey treats. We also rubbed shoulders with our favourite chef-cum-television personality, Raymond Blanc, who created an impressively tasty Earl Grey and lemon ganache as part of the shop's Rain Of Stars collection. Even those who don't venture much beyond milk chocolate sighed openly with pleasure at his heavenly, slightly salty creation.
Liking...
Along with chocolates lining every inch of available space, the café sells an array of hot drinks and champagne. We didn't try it for ourselves, but we reckon their Hot Chocolate Lava seems to be a proper, gooey hot chocolate soup. And for those who can't make it in-store, they have a fantastic website that sells hot chocolate dippers so you can make your own at home.
Best bit?
There are nearly 80 different pralines (a bite-sized chocolate originally invented by Neuhaus) on offer. Enough said.
Worst bit...
Sadly, they're not fat free.
