We all know that one of the most exciting things about Christmas is the wonderful Christmas adverts our favourite brands create to entice us to part with our money in their stores. Here are our favourite Christmas adverts.

First up is the new John Lewis advert. No, that's not a dog's head in the box as many people have been saying on Twitter.

Another from this year's collection is the Argos Christmas advert

The Spice Girls, arguing over Christmas food... could there be a better use of celebrities in an advert?

Aside from making Santa Claus red (he was apparently originally green) Coca Cola have been using the iconic figure in their adverts since 1931. This is the most well-known Coca Cola Christmas advert, and always reminds us of Christmases of childhoods past.

Have a 'cracking Christmas' at Woolworth. We defy you to not end up singing this song all day long. Such a shame the high street chain isn't around anymore.

Well, really. Who wouldn't want Take That turning up on their doorstep for Christmas? Normally all we get is Nanny Vi.

Irn Bru take on The Snowman in this advert from 2006. 'I'm walking through the air. I'm sipping on an Irn Bru.'

Fosters: 'Tastes like an angel crying on your tongue'
