Forget the mud and music - last year\'s summer music festivals were all about celebrities being a little too carefree. Among the designer wellies and skimpy shorts, reports came in thick and fast of stars misbehaving (Pete Doherty and Kate Moss), celebrity rejections (Jude Law and Sienna Miller), and miraculous A-list escapes (Dame Shirley Bassey and the helicopter from hell).

Amy Winehouse Blake Fielder-Civil Glastonbury Festival
In 2007, one month after saying ‘I do’ to her sexy beau, Blake Fielder-Civil, Amy Winehouse was wowing the crowds at Glastonbury Festival… Not wishing to slum it so soon after their nuptials, the loved-up couple splashed out on a sumptuous £3,000 tepee at Glastonbury’s Camp Kerala.
The luxurious tent was home to a 13ft by 13ft bed, a shower, lava lamps, rugs, antique furniture, handmade mirrors, scented candles and fresh flowers.
Sadly, Glastonbury wasn’t all hearts and flowers for the newlyweds, as rumours surfaced that Amy had lost her temper after performing an acoustic set on the Friday. Sitting backstage with her hubby, she reportedly accused a girl of flirting with him and screamed, \'Leave my husband alone. He is married!\'

Shirley Bassey Glastonbury Festival 2007
If there was one diva who was going to make sure Glastonbury Festival didn’t leave a muddy mark on her, it was always going to be the marvellous Dame Shirley Bassey. After jetting in from Monte Carlo, she was ushered up her own stretch of red carpet, wearing a pink Julien Macdonald evening gown and a fab pair of £3,000 diamante-encrusted wellies.
After raising the roof with a sparkling performance, Dame Shirley was whisked off in a helicopter, but was forced to land in dramatic fashion after the chopper developed a mechanical fault. Locals from the Surrey town where the accident happened were left flabbergasted as Bassey emerged from the helicopter to apologise for the inconvenience and ask if she could use someone’s bathroom!

Seen here lovingly filming Pete Doherty on stage at Glastonbury 2007, Kate Moss and her man were still very much together at the beginning of festival season. By the time V Festival took place however, the gruesome twosome were no more… Perhaps that explains why Kate turned super-bitch at V Festival and took it upon herself to make Sarah Harding cry.
And what did the Girls Aloud singer do to deserve such treatment, we hear you ask? Apparently, she had the audacity to be sitting down at the table Kate Moss wanted to sit at! How dare she…

Pete Doherty Glastonbury Festival 2007
Pete Doherty caused the kind of chaos we have come to expect of him at Glastonbury Festival. After emerging from the hospitality area to discover the paparazzi waiting to pounce en masse, his then girlfriend Kate Moss had a freak-out and refused to budge until the vultures were moved on.
In a rare moment of heroism, Pete decided the best course of action would be to run head first into the baying photographers to steal a nearby bicycle, enabling him to run rings around the paps and divert attention away from Kate. One spectator said, \'It was hilarious. He was just playing with the paps, really. Just giving them a bit of sport and something to earn them a few quid. Kate didn\'t look quite so amused\'

Juliette Lewis Lollapalooza Festival 2007
Here’s our favourite rock chick, Juliette Lewis, backstage at last year\'s Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago. She was one of the first performers on stage at the festival, along with her band The Licks. Putting in a fairly typical performance, Juliette was dressed in head-to-toe PVC and wore an Indian headdress, which looked great as she flailed about on the floor of the stage and later threw herself into the crowd for a spot of surfing!

Could Sienna Miller be on the verge of becoming a bit of a lush? At last year’s Isle of Wight Festival, Sienna was allegedly spotted offering a barman £100 for a bottle of vodka after being refused service at the free VIP bar because she was too squiffy… naughty, naughty.
More humiliation followed at the O2 Wireless Festival after Sienna apparently spent the entire day stalking her ex, Jude Law. According to reports, Miller did her best to make sure she appeared on Jude’s radar on more than one occasion, only to be shunned and avoided… how sad
