Ready for her close up: despite her own prolific courting of the press, Carla Bruni's daughter won't be in the limelight.
The first thing Carla Bruni did after given birth to daughter Giulia earlier this week (the first child for her and French President Nicholas Sarkozy, although both have children from previous relationships) was announce that not only will she not be selling pictures of her newborn baby to the press, but that shell take out legal action against anyone who tries to take photos of her daughter. Her lawyer has also written to media editors stressing her request for privacy.
Contrast this to Jennifer Lopez, who has just posed with her two-year-old twins for the latest Gucci campaign not only allowing and encouraging pictures of her children be taken for public consumption, but presumably making a hefty profit out of it as well.
So here's the question - do you think its ok for celebs to sell pictures of their children for profit after all, its the children who will benefit from all this extra money? Or is their responsibility, as parents, to protect their childrens privacy at all costs?
