First thoughts: With their self-confessed ‘oompa-loompa orange’ spray tans, full face of makeup and strong Essex accents, originally 2 Shoes didn’t seem like serious contenders. Then they belted out a soulful version of K-Ci & JoJo’s ‘All My Life’ and nearly made us fall off our chairs.

Handbag’s verdict:If 2 Shoes manage to win the hearts of viewers and continue to wow the judges then they look to go far in this year’s competition. It looks like 2 Shoes have been toned down in their makeovers, but never-the-less, look out for complete Essex domination!

First thoughts: Believing that neither The Keys nor The Risk were strong enough to ultimately win the competition, sneaky Tulisa took stand-out vocalist Charlie from The Keys and combined him with the three boys from The Risk to create a supergroup. < /p>

Handbag’s verdict:With all this last minute shuffling will the boys be able to come together as a group? As the first X Factor band put together at the judges' houses stage we’re not convinced. However we’re pleased Charlie made it through, as we weren’t quite ready to say bye to him yet.
