From: LondonFirst thoughts: When stepping into the X Factor audition room, Sophie Habibis’ main claim to fame was that she looks an awful lot like Whitney from Eastenders.
Handbag’s verdict: Well, we think Kelly Rowland summed up how we feel about Sophie’s voice when she said “I want her to sing at my wedding,” during her audition. Sophie could definitely go all the way, but it really depends on how they decide to use her talent. And judging from the X Factor makeovers, they’ve gone all VV Brown on us with a front roll.

Handbag’s verdict: We reckon that Misha Bryan and Sophie Habibis are the two to watch out for in the girl’s category and will provide the most competition throughout the X Factor process.

From: MiddlesbroughFirst thoughts: No one could believe that Amelia Lily was just 16 when she first auditioned for the X Factor. “Oh my goodness, sixteen years old!” cried Gary Barlow. “That was incredible. That absolutely lifted the top off this arena.”
Handbag’s verdict: Amelia Lily has reportedly already won Matt Cardle’s support after she sung to him down the phone. But will he be the only person ringing up to vote for her on the live shows?

From: OmaghFirst thoughts: When we first met shy Janet Devlin from Omagh, we thought ‘nah, this is going to be rubbish’. You would have thought we’d have learnt our lesson.
Handbag’s verdict: The X Factor play a risky game by editing their footage so it looks like two contestants battle it out for the last place in a category. As a result Janet Devlin is going to have a job on her hands to convince Jade Richards’ fans that she deserves to be in the final.
