Uma Thurman's latest romantic comedy casts her as Dr Emma Lloyd, a smart, apparently sorted radio DJ who thinks she's got it all: a great job advising people on their love lives, and a handsome fiancé, Richard (Colin Firth). But it all goes haywire when she discovers she's already married to a man she's never met! Turns out jilted listener Patrick (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) has got revenge after Emma advised his girlfriend to dump him. With the help of his computer whiz friend, he's officially married Emma without even meeting her!
And so Emma must track down Patrick so she can marry Richard - but when she meets him, her life changes. Patrick is everything solid, dependable Richard isn't: lively, spontaneous, funny and passionate. As the two start to become closer, Emma has a dilemma on her hands: does she go for the long-term love who can provide her with a secure, stable future - or does she take a risk with an irresponsible, rebellious guy who makes her heart flutter?
Given that both men are pretty darned gorgeous, and both have fallen for her, it's a tough choice. Patrick may be a hunky fireman (swoon), but he's juvenile and won't give her an easy life. Richard will be a respectful, reliable husband - but will he provide Emma with the passion and excitement she craves? Who would you choose?
