The story so far...

music,TV,celebrity news, soaps The story so far... As we enter week six of this year\'s sensational season of Strictly Come Dancing, we take a look at all the gossip from the show, our favourite couples and the celebrities that have been voted off thus far!

Brian Capron and Karen Hardy

TV,celebrity news Brian Capron and Karen Hardy Ex-Coronation Street bad guy, Brian Capron and his dance partner Karen Hardy were the first casualties of Strictly Come Dancing 2007. Brian found himself voted into the bottom two alongside Kenny Logan, and both chaps were forced to waltz for survival.

Strictly Come Dancing\'s acid-tongued judge Arlene Phillips described Brian\'s dancing as "less like a performance and more like a wake" and that was the end of him!
Karen, who partnered last year\'s champion Mark Ramprakash, is now BBC Breakfast\'s official Strictly Come Dancing correspondent.

Stephanie Beacham and Vincent Simone

TV,celebrity news Stephanie Beacham and Vincent Simone The lovely Stephanie Beacham became the first female celebrity to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing in week two. After battling it out with EastEnders\' Letitia Dean, (Stephanie dancing the quickstep and Letitia dancing the rumba) she was ushered out of the competition, much to everyone\'s surprise.

After the show Stephanie said, "It\'s been nothing but awful! It\'s such hard work... I am in admiration for these glorious dancers - I really don\'t know how they do it."

Willie Thorne and Erin Boag

TV,celebrity news Willie Thorne and Erin Boag Snooker legend Willie Thorne and his dance partner were voted into the bottom two alongside fellow sportsman John Barnes in week three. After dancing the tango, Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood cruelly denounced Willie\'s good effort remarking, "Hunching over Erin like a walrus isn\'t a Tango, sadly. You need to take more command and drive the dance."

After the judges announced they would be saving John, Willie said, "It\'s been fabulous. Erin\'s been an absolute angel." Aww - we love you Willie!

Gabby Logan and James Jordan

sports,TV,celebrity news Gabby Logan and James Jordan Week four, possibly the most tumultuous the show has seen, saw sports presenter Gabby Logan voted into the bottom two alongside Penny Lancaster. Gabby, whose husband Kenny is also appearing in Strictly Come Dancing, was a favourite to win the series, but much to her dismay it wasn\'t meant to be and off she went.

For someone who was said to have been "inconsolable" the week before after only placing fourth in the leader board, you can imagine how Gabby took the news of her ejection. To say she took it badly would not do her justice. In the 48 hours following the programme, the press was littered with interviews and quotes from the ex-gymnast, bemoaning her sad state of affairs. In the Times she wrote a column about her experience saying, "I feel empty and sightly directionless." Chin up, luv - it\'s only a game show!

Dominic Littlewood and Lilia Kopylova

TV,celebrity news Dominic Littlewood and Lilia Kopylova

Cheeky chappy, Dominic Littlewood, left the competition in its fifth week after facing off against John Barnes. Although he seemed to take the news quite well on the night, Dominic has since been caught venting to anyone that will listen. He’s called the programme “a circus” and “a farce”, has said that the judges could only make “stupid comments”, and has sent his dance partner Lilia Kopylova, into a fury.

According to reports, Lilia believes that Dominic’s constant rows with the judges turned viewers against them. A source from the show told The Sun newspaper that Lilia ignored Dom in the bar afterwards and hasn’t spoken to him since. Oh dear!

Kate Garraway and Anton Du Beke

TV,celebrity news Kate Garraway and Anton Du Beke - Strictly Come Dancing

Let\'s face it, GMTV\'s Kate Garraway might be a rubbish dancer, but she\'s played a blinder, has she not? From the moment it was announced that she was taking part in Strictly Come Dancing, we\'ve heard about every little trial and tribulation she\'s faced - from her very public injury, to her backstage tears. Don\'t be fooled people, she\'s been milking your sympathy from the start! And now, she\'s got her own MySpace page to keep us informed of her up-to-the-minute woes: www.myspace.com/kategarraway

"I just don\'t want to let Anton down", "I\'ve been trying my best to be sexy", "Please understand that I am trying to catch up". Ergh, enough already!

Matt Di Angelo and Flavia Cacace

TV,celebrity news Matt Di Angelo and Flavia Cacace

According to The People, Strictly Come Dancing stars Matt Di Angelo and Alesha Dixon are secretly dating. Apparently Matt, who plays Deano Wicks in EastEnders, has told his pals that they are now an item, and the couple were spotted getting up close and personal at London\'s Mo*vida nightclub last month.

But Matt has also been linked with dance partner Flavia Cacace, so who can say what is to be believed. One thing is for certain, the rumours certainly aren\'t adversely affecting his popularity on the show!

Gethin Jones and Camilla Dallerup

TV,celebrity news Gethin Jones and Camilla Dallerup

Blue Peter\'s hunky young Welsh presenter, Gethin Jones, has also had his fair share of admiration from the ladies, but it seems there\'s only one girl for him. "I find Kate [Garraway] incredibly sexy. She might not be the best dancer, but she\'s got a very sexy way about her. I love her. She\'s very funny and we get on really well. And she\'s got a bit of a lisp, which I like."

Well, she\'s a married woman, Geth, so you\'ll just have to settle for one of us instead!

John Barnes and Nicole Cutler

TV,celebrity news John Barnes and Nicole Cutler

Former footballer, John Barnes, reckons Strictly Come Dancing has saved his life. Barnesy has admitted that he\'s piled on the pounds lately due to a love of fast food and takeaways, but since he has been on the show his fitness and weight has improved dramatically.

But will Barnesy\'s dancing dream go on for much longer? He\'s been in the bottom two twice now - so could this be his final week in the competition?

Penny Lancaster Stewart and Ian Waite

TV,celebrity news Penny Lancaster Stewart and Ian Waite - Strictly Come Dancing

Penny Lancaster Stewart, better half of Rod, has been slogging away is yet to move up from her mid-table position. Could she be the dark horse of the Strictly Come Dancing championship, or has poor Rod had to go without for no reason? "Rod understands all in all," says Penny, "but the show is a passion killer."
