Since the girls trotted off our TV screens in their Monolos back in 2004 we\'ve been keeping everything crossed that we\'d see them in action again. Our wish came true - that much is confirmed. Now, inevitably, there are a trillion rumours already flying around about what does - and doesn\'t - happen in the film. Chris Noth (aka Mr Big) has already commented on the speculations saying, "It\'s safe to say anything is possible and anything you read in the papers take with a healthy dose of scepticism." So we\'ve been warned, but quite frankly - that ain\'t gunna stop us. So if you don\'t like spoilers, look away now.

We\'ve all seen the pictures of Carrie in that Vivienne Westwood couture wedding gown, but whether she really becomes ‘Mrs Big\' is another matter. There are numerous rumours encircling the topic. Firstly, paparazzi shots of the filming showed the bride whacking Mr Big around the head with her wedding bouquet, fuelling the theory that just before they say "I do" Carrie discovers Big\'s been up to his old tricks again.

The second wedding theory is that it doesn\'t really exist! Apparently the sneaky producers have prepared two endings to the movie; one where they wed and one where they don\'t. However, others are claiming it\'s actually a dream sequence, while some suspect it\'s just a ploy to throw us off track and get us talking about it. That would never work...

Kim Catrall - Sex & the City movie gossip
It was inevitable that there\'d be a bitch rumour doing the rounds. SJP and Kim Cattrall reportedly fell out during the final season over pay inequality. It seemed the show\'s star and producer raked in way more than Kim who plays Samantha, which is why she was hesitant to agree to the film. Unfortunately the girls don\'t seem to have put this behind them, according to the New York Daily News, a "scowling" Kim stomped out of a SATC reunion celebration just after Sarah Jessica arrived. We just hope it doesn\'t show on screen!

There have been pictures leaked of the previously infertile Charlotte sporting a prosthetic baby bump, although this could be a second ploy to throw us. Another sighting that\'s got tongues wagging is a ‘pregnant\' Charlotte shouting at Mr Big, "I don\'t want to see you. I curse the day you were born!" What could it mean? There\'s hearsay that she catches him dining with another woman and in the drama her waters break, leaving Big to usher her to hospital.

We know that Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson plays Carrie\'s assistant Louise in the movie, but there are unconfirmed rumours that What Happens In Vegas co-stars Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher are set to cameo in the film too. There are also whispers that Scarlett Johansson and singer Alicia Keys make appearances!

It\'s thought that one dramatic storyline will be centred around one of the girls\' pasts returning to haunt them. Apparently one fell pregnant after being raped and had the baby adopted. Ten or so years later the child apparently seeks out its real ‘mom\' in the form of one of the New York four. Rumours are circulating a red-head child has been cast in the role suggesting it\'s the off-spring of Miranda, but anything from the father\'s genes to hair dye could quash this presumption.

Still on the subject of Miranda, apparently she and hubby Steve are having a spot of trouble between the sheets. The on-off couple eventually married half way through season six, moving to their own apartment in Brooklyn with their son Brady.

The five-year-old actor playing Steve and Miranda\'s boy has been seen filming with Cynthia Nixon on set. Similarly we\'ve spotted Charlotte and Harry\'s adorable girl they adopted as a baby from China at the end of the season six. Both sightings add weight to the rumour that that the movie\'s based exactly four years on from the TV series.

The gossip that we most hope isn\'t true is that ye olde rumour that one of the characters dies. We heard it before during the TV series, but as that\'s now been laid to rest - anything\'s possible. As there\'s no indication of who it might be though, we\'re hoping it\'s mere fabrication. But for now the movie\'s still in its infancy and unfortunately we\'ve got to hold out until May to find out if any of it\'s true.
