What's the story?
Ambitious girl gets promotion and goes out on the piss to celebrate. Girl meets slacker boy. Girl takes boy home but on waking discovers they have nothing in common. In fact, he's an infantile stoner. Weeks later: ambitious girl discovers she's having slacker boy's baby. Does she keep it? Do they try to make it work together?
Liking
Kathryn Heigl. The 'Grey's Anatomy' star shines in this and creates a very likeable, authentic character, despite her incredibly genetically blessed looks. Well made and interesting, it's got a very endearing quality to it. Who'd have thought that a film with a comic streak that relies on gross out could be sweet?
Not liking
Seth Rogen. Okay, so he's not dislikeable but he's also not very funny. Heigl isn't exactly Jennifer Aniston in the comedy stakes, either. From the writer of Anchorman and writer/director of The 40-Year-Old Virgin, this is clearly a film that's suffered from over hype.
Who's in it?
As well as Heigl and Hill, Judd Apatow's wife Leslie Mann plays Heigl's hard-to-please sister who resents her hubby, played by the ever-appealing Paul Rudd.
