Here\'s a spot of real trivia...
In the pilot episode, the man standing behind the housewives as they watch Edie\'s house go up in flames was the man originally cast as Bree\'s husband, Michael Reilly Burke. He was later replaced by Steven Culp, but they were unable to re-shoot the scene with the new Rex.
Two different actors in the series also play Susan\'s husband Karl.

When Gabrielle and John are nearly caught by Carlos in season one, John had to jump out of the window, naked, to escape. Jesse Metcalfe was actually replaced by a stunt double for this scene.
The following scene, when Jesse re-appears in just a shirt at the window, had to be shot several times with Jesse in different lengths of clothing, as the directors were not sure how much of Jesse\'s bottom they would be able to get past the US censors!
