Harold Perrineau
Trained as a dancer, Brooklyn-born Harold has appeared in 'Oz' but is best known for his role in 'The Matrix'. 'My career has never been easy or straightforward or any of that stuff, so to jump into 'The Matrix' at the height of its thing was kind of cool,' he says. 'Then to jump on here, it's a different quality of work, like it's all still the exploration for me. I'm just exploring the stuff.'
Success with the ladies
The 43-year-old, who plays Walt's father Michael in the show, has not had much chance to indulge in his fame. Unlike most of his co-stars who have enjoyed the female attention to some extent, Harold is totally absorbed in his work and his family life - although he has been spotted at several red-carpet events.
How to woo him
Don't ask him for a swim! He had to learn how to swim in order to shoot his scenes for the first series' finale. Because details of scenes are kept secret from the actors until shooting time, nobody asked him if he knew how to swim beforehand. 'I don't swim, or at least I didn't swim when we shot the first season's finale. So just being out on that raft was a little scary for me.'
Eligibility
He has a 10-year-old daughter, Aurora, with his wife Brittany, and his family always accompany him when filming. He married the model and actress in 2002 - and she has had a small part in 'Lost'! Having spent their lives in Brooklyn, they found the adjustment to island life a bit harder. 'There were a lot of nights in the beginning when my wife, my daughter, and me were all in the house walking in circles asking, "What are we doing here? There is nothing to do!"' laughs Harold.
