Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje
Born in London to Nigerian parents, Adewale had some success in prison drama 'Oz' and 50 Cents' 'Get Rich or Die Tryin'. But the laidback 39-year-old is just glad to be living life on Hawaii and enjoys his role in 'Lost'. 'It's a privilege to be in this job, so I take it very seriously. Not myself, but the job,' he says.
Success with the ladies
Since he began on Lost, Adewale has become a huge heartthrob on both sides of the pond. He can't leave his home in Hawaii without starting a scrum. 'I can't do normal things like go shopping or to a club,' he says. 'I'm not really prepared for it in London because I grew up in English culture where you don't really want to be too flash. I had no idea how fast it would turn around. The first week, I was getting bags of fan mail,' laughs Ade.
How to woo him
Be deep. 'I'm a Buddhist, and I chant 'Nam-myoho-renge-kyo' before every scene,' he says. Share his beliefs and you are in, but he also balances his spiritual side with a love of partying.
Eligibility
Good news, ladies! Adewale, who has a masters in law and is fluent in English, Italian, Yoruba and Swahili, is available. 'I'm married to my art at this moment,' he says. 'I'm still cruising. I'm free. I'm open.'
