The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff Christmas special is a four-part Dickensian comedy adventure. Jedrington, played by Robert Webb, is a respected family man and the owner of The Old Shop Of Stuff, a well-known seller of all things miscellaneous in Victorian London. It’s Christmas Eve and Jedrington and his wife Conceptiva (Katherine Parkinson) have their Christmas spirit crushed when Malifax Skulkingworm (Stephen Fry), a hard-hearted lawyer, incarcerates Jedrington, his wife and children in London’s most notorious debtor’s prison. Will Jedrington and his family survive Christmas and what is Skulkingworm’s sinister plan?
