Britain\'s Got Talent - Who do you want in the live shows?

TV,reality tv,staying in Susan Boyle The Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists will be announced tomorrow, and Susan Boyle is an odds-on bet to be in the line-up. Two hundred acts have made it through their auditions with a yes from the judges, but only 40 will make it to the live rounds. Who would you like to see win? Here’s a reminder of some of the contestants that have got us all talking – and some of handbag.com’s favourites.

Have your say on who you’d like to see in the live shows in our forum.

Aidan Davis

TV,reality tv,staying in Aidan Davis Aidan Davis has been hailed as the new George Sampson, but he’s so much more. Aidan, aged just 11, walked onstage for his audition looking a little shy, but blew the crowd away with his amazing moves.

“There has been a bar on this show,” said Amanda Holden, “and I think you just raised it, darling.”

“I think you’re better than any dancer I have ever seen on this show over three years,” said Simon Cowell. “I think you are super, super, super talented. Unbelievable.”

Susan Boyle

TV,reality tv,staying in Susan Boyle When Susan walked on stage you could hear murmurs and giggling running throughout the audience as the crowd found it hard to believe that this 47-year-old, dressed in an old curtain, was about to sing. There were even smirks on the faces of the judges as she told them, “I am trying to be a professional singer. I’ve never been given a chance before but hopefully that will change.” Then Boyle launched into her rendition of I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables, wowing the crowd and the judges. Afterwards Simon called her a “little tiger”.

If Susan had the shock factor on her side during her performance, we wonder whether she would be able to impress the crowds a second time during the live shows. But we think she deserves a chance.

Natalie Okri

TV,reality tv,staying in Natalie Okri Youngsters came out of the woodwork this year, and 10-year-old Natalie Okri was another one to surprise the judges. Natalie said she “sometimes sings when she’s eating her dinner” and would love to “be a singer and a diva”. Singing No One by Alicia Keyes, she belted the song out with the confidence of someone twice her age, and the audience got to their feet. “Just knock-out brilliance,” said Amanda Holden.

Greg Pritchard

TV,reality tv,staying in Greg Pritchard Greg came out for his audition looking like some kind of rock god, before dumbfounding the audience and the judges with his musical talents – and he was great! Greg, a male soprano sung Nessun Dorma and said that his style was from “the rock period in opera”.

“Of all the things to come out of your mouth, that was the last thing on my list,” said Piers Morgan.

“It was like a dog meowing,” said Simon, “You’ve puzzled me, Greg, I tell you.” Greg got a yes from Piers and Amanda before Simon finished with, “I haven’t got a bloody clue.”

Shaun Smith

TV,reality tv,staying in Shaun Smith Rugby-playing 17-year-old Shaun Smith on stage looking a little too sure of himself and like he’d just been plucked from of a boy band – or from High School Musical. But his very sexy rendition of Ain’t No Sunshine thrilled the audience and sent shivers down our spines!

“I tell you who you reminded me of. It’s Mick Hucknall, but good looking,,, I think you’re really good,” said Simon.

Sue Son

TV,reality tv,staying in Sue Son Sue originally auditioned with friend Janine as part of the group Addicted. But when they didn’t get through Sue was asked to come back to audition by herself. Kudos to the violinist for having the bravery to try out by herself, as Simon told her, “On talent alone you’re one of the best I’ve seen.”

Jamie Pugh

TV,reality tv,staying in Jamie Pugh Jamie had a crippling fear of the stage, but entered Britain’s Got Talent to try to get over his nerves. He left the judges in awe with his rendition of Bring Him Home from Les Miserables, and looked close to tears as the audience gave him a standing ovation.

“That was amazing,” said Amanda. “I thought that was incredible” agreed Piers.

Diversity

TV,reality tv,staying in Diversity This act was definitely what it said on the tin. Made up of dancers aged between 12 and 25, Simon said of them, “I’ve never seen dance so imaginative, so creative, so entertaining.” One dancer even popped out of a gym bag on the stage!

Shaheen Jafargholi

TV,reality tv,staying in Shaheen Shaheen Jafargholi began to sing Valerie by The Zutons, but the 12-year old was stopped mid-song by Simon and asked if he sang anything else. What followed was an awe-inspiring version of Michael Jackson’s Who’s Loving You, which won Shaheen a place in the final audition.

Stavos Flatly

TV,reality tv,staying in Stavos Flatly This has to be the funniest thing we’ve seen on Britain’s Got Talent this year. Father and son duo, 40-year-old Dimitrios and 12-year-old Lagi, shared a little of their Greek culture with the nation – and left the audience crying with laughter. Absolutely hilarious. “This is one of my favourite ever dance acts,” exclaimed Simon.
