Artistically striking and designed visually by Peter Chung (creator of Aeon Flux and animator for the Rugrats) phantom 2040 opened in 1994 with brilliant reviews but was over by 1996. The dark cartoon series had complex and current plots with a strong focus on environmental issues as well as teaching values of individuality and freedom
