What's the story?
Brooding teen magic man Harry Potter is suffering from nightmares so dark he believes an evil force is engulfing him. While he and his pals attempt to convince their classmates that Lord Voldemort is back, a terrifying new professor shakes up their world in a different way when she turns the school into a magic-free no-fun zone.
Who's in it?
Daniel Radcliffe is our star and my my has he come a long way. He's maturing as an actor and holding his own impressively. The other usual suspects are there too, from the young actors to the cream of the British acting fraternity, including Helena Bonham Carter who pops up in a fantastically fitting goth role towards the end.
Who's the hottie?
He's not quite there yet but the repackaging of Harry into a swoontastic leading man is coming along nicely, thanks very much. Just ask all those teenagers. After his revealing West End turn plus that recent rockstar-style Details shoot you'll never look at the boy wizard in the same way again.
Liking?
The dark plot, gorgeous sets, return to the fascinating world of Hogwarts, but, most of all, captivating newcomer Evanna Lynch (as fellow student Luna Lovegood) who has an ethereal quality that makes every scene she's in compelling.
Not liking?
Harry's anticlimactic first kiss. After all the fuss, the fling with fellow school girl Cho Chang amounts to a few coy looks and one long (and impressively adult) snog. Where's the romantic build up? There are less mind-blowing J K Rowling creations than we've come to expect and, although entertaining, the plot doesn't have us on the edge of our seats like previous instalments. Bring back the magic!
