What's the story?
The superhero gang are forced to confront some serious life questions: do they kill off the alien surfer dude who threatens to destroy the world, gang up with their enemy Dr Doom, lose the bad blonde highlights or all of the above? What's a girl to do?!
Who's the hotty?
The silver surfer - a flying fella who looks like he's made of mercury - is the charismatic bad boy, but the likeable Ioan Gruffudd as the elastic Mr Fantastic (don't even think about it, ladies) always wins the day.
Who's in it?
Jessica Alba's peroxide locks and blue contacts are bizarrely captivating... squint and she's Barbie in drag with a seriously bad permatan. Gruffudd is always watchable, as is the captivating Michael Chiklis - who brings a bit of humour to proceedings as The Thing - and there's the cute, all-American boy Chris Evans.
Liking...
Not as smug as the first film, but the comedy is fab and the cool characters are likeable so it's easy to escort them on their joyride.
Not liking...
Everything bar the above. The storyline is uninspiring, the effects are fine but it all stinks of teenage boys. Perhaps it's just that we've become too accustomed to sophisticated movie versions of comic books.
Extras...
Deleted scenes, two 'making of' documentaries and all the other standard bits and bobs you get on DVDs - hardly 'fantastic'.
