In the film, Steve Carrell stars as Cal Weaver, a husband and father who’s wife Emily (Julianne Moore) tells him she’s had an affair. Finding himself middle-aged and single, Cal meets Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling) a notourious playboy, who has a certain way with the ladies.
