Wesley Snipes faces jail term

Action star Wesley Snipes could face up to three years in prison for not filing his taxes

Yet another Hollywood star faces time in the clink - this time it's Wesley Snipes who's most famous for playing avenging vampire Blade. He was up on charges for federal tax-fraud and conspiracy, but was found not guilty by a jury last week. However, he was found guilty of failing to file his tax returns. Snipes could face up to three years in prison. "Mr. Snipes has always been committed to doing the right thing, and after this trial is over he'll make whatever amends are required. But this is a man of integrity," said Snipes lawyer. At one stage Snipes declared that he was a ‘non-resident alien' in the US, and so wasn't subject to tax laws there. He's also claimed that he was misled by dishonest advisors. However, it seems even vampires can't avoid the taxman, especially when they earn over $10 million dollars for their movies!
