Two former housekeepers have been arrested on suspicion of stealing from
David and
Victoria Beckham’s Hertfordshire mansion. Eric and June Emmett - who have called the allegations ‘fabricated nonsense’ - are accused of taking items including football boots and designer clothes and trying to sell them on eBay. “Some of the things were given to them as presents and are unique because they were specially made for them,” an insider tells the Mirror. “They include mostly small but expensive trinkets and some pieces which were on decorative display. Together they add up to quite a high value.” Victoria’s parents Tony and Jackie Adams are said to have seen the items for sale and informed the police. A spokesman for eBay said they were investigating the claims and added, “If it transpires that our site was being used to list stolen goods then we will work with the police to press for the harshest penalties.”
