Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is desperate to stay in the US.

Victoria Beckham is desperate to stay living in America despite her husband David's imminent move back to Europe, Now magazine reports. Former England captain David plans to return to European football at the end of the US season to increase his chances of selection for the 2010 World Cup but Victoria doesn't want to make the move with him. "Victoria's trying everything she possibly can to make her Hollywood life work out at the 11th hour," a source claims. "Simon Cowell has told her that even if her guest appearance on American Idol - which won't be screened until January - doesn't work out, he'll give her something else. Victoria was always more at home in LA than David was and she'd like to buy some more time to cement her A-list status in the US. She understands that David needs to play in Europe for the sake of his football career, but she won't accept that her Hollywood dream is over."
