Rihanna “ashamed” she went back to Brown

R&B star Rihanna has admitted that she is ashamed she went back to Chris Brown after he assaulted her.

Rihanna has confessed she is "ashamed" she returned to ex-boyfriend Chris Brown after he attacked her in February. R&B star Brown admitted he physically assaulted Rihanna in Los Angeles this year after the pair left a pre-Grammys party. However, shortly after the incident the pair were said to have rekindled their romance. After striking a plea bargain in June, Brown was sentenced to five years' probation and 1,440 hours of community service.
"That's embarrassing - that's the type of person that I fell in love with, so far in love, so unconditional, that I went back." Rihanna told ABC's Good Morning America. "It's humiliating to say this happened. It's a traumatising experience, I stayed. I even went back after he beat me, which was wrong. When I realised that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. Even if Chris never hit me again, who is to say that their boyfriend won't? Who's to say that they won't kill these girls? These are young girls and I just didn't realise how much of an impact I had on these girls' lives until that happened. I am strong. This happened to me. I didn't cause this. I didn't do it. This can happen to me and it can happen to anybody."

However, in his own TV interview special Chris has moaned that he doesn't know what people think of him since the attack. "I'm confused right now as far as the public perception of me. Like, I think with my fans, they still love me, they support me, definitely. You have those people who will support you. So it's kinda like 50/50 for me," he explains in the upcoming MTV News special Chris Brown: The Interview. "I got the people that will come out and support and then the people that don't wanna see me do anything. They basically want me in jail."
