Socialite Paris Hilton has ordered a £200,000 diamond-encrusted dashboard for her new car.

Paris Hilton has bucked the credit crunch and ordered a £200,000 diamond-encrusted dashboard for her new pink Bentley, sources have told The Sun. The socialite has arranged to have the custom built piece flown from the car company's Crewe headquarters to her Los Angeles home. "I guess she's not hit too badly by the recession. When the man said she wanted to stud the dashboard with a couple of hundred grand's worth of diamonds, we were stunned," an employee revealed. "We're used to dealing with the stars so we expect the odd extravagance, but this is something else." Paris bought the pink car as a Christmas present for herself last year because she'd been "a fan of Barbie for so long".
