Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney has denied he is engaged to marry.
Sir Paul McCartney has denied he is engaged to his American girlfriend Nancy Shevell. Over the weekend several newspapers reported the couple has decided to get married but claimed they were resisting making any formal announcements. "The wedding will be sooner rather than later," a ‘friend' told the Sunday Express. "At Paul's age you don't hang about. I can't think of a soul who'd deny him happiness." However, a spokesman for Sir Paul was clear in their denial. "There is no truth in it whatsoever. They have not become engaged in any shape or form. It is utter nonsense."
