Lindsay responds to dad

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has slammed her father for accusing her of being addicted to prescription drugs.

Lindsay Lohan has told her dad Michael to "be a real father" after he claimed she was addicted to drugs, Us Weekly magazine reports. Earlier this month, Michael Lohan said his daughter was hooked on prescription medication. "It's not just drinking and illegal drugs that kill you," Michael said. "You know why Lindsay's not acting in feature films right now? Because she can't. When you hug her she's, like, vacant inside. Prescription drugs can destroy and kill a person and are sometimes harder to stop than illegal drugs. Look at Heath Ledger and Michael Jackson."
However, Lindsay has said she had enough of her father's claims. "I'm so hurt that someone who calls himself my father, needs to use the press to communicate with me," Lindsay explained. "I have not spoken to my father, nor have I responded to his threatening and erratic messages over the last several months. It's so sad that he needs to stay in the media spotlight by using my name and making up excessive lies. He should instead try to be a real father."
