Chat show host Jonathan Ross has asked Andrew Sachs to appear when he makes his return to TV.

Disgraced Jonathan Ross has asked Andrew Sachs to be a guest on his Friday night chat show sources have told the Mirror. The broadcaster is set to return to screens in January following a three month suspension for crank calls he and Russell Brand made to the Fawlty Towers star’s answer machine last month. “He believes that by having him Sachs on the show, he will draw a line under this whole sorry affair," a source says. Andrew Sachs has also said he’s open to the idea, “He did write me a lovely letter of apology and going on the show is not something I would rule out," he said. "I've got an open mind about things like that.” Meanwhile, despite resigning from his Radio 2 show Russell Brand could be about to land a £5million paycheque to appear in the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie. "There couldn't be a role more perfectly suited," a source told the Sun. “There's a lot of Jack Sparrow in his mannerisms and behaviour. Depp's accent isn't a million miles away from Russell's either. Russell joining the Sparrows alongside Johnny and Keith Richards as their dad will complete the ultimate on-screen pirate family."
