Hollywood star Johnny Depp has spoken for the first time about the prospect of playing the Riddler in a new Batman film.

Johnny Depp has spoken for the first time about rumours he could follow Heath Ledger’s Joker by playing The Riddler in a new Batman film. Appearing on a Florida radio station Johnny was asked about rumours he had been cast as the legendary villain. “I heard about that, not that I know of," Johnny said before raising hopes by adding, "It seems like it'd be a fun gig for a while, yeah." After the Dark Knight’s incredible success (half a billion dollars and counting in the US alone) director Christopher Nolan is expected to start work on his third Batman movie next year.
