Heath ordered to psychiatrist before death

Concerned friends and colleagues of Heath Ledger told him to see a psychiatrist shortly before his tragic death.

Heath Ledger was told to see a psychiatrist while filming new Batman film The Dark Knight after colleagues feared for his sanity, sources have told the Mirror. The father of one was said to have become “consumed by his evil character The Joker”. The tragic actor is said to have immersed himself so deeply in the role that it was affecting his sleeping, moods and even his relationships with the cast and crew. Insiders say he was advised to seek counselling after displaying the Joker’s characteristics and had even started to refuse to talk to anyone on set out of character. The 28-year-old actor's body was found in his New York apartment shortly after filming was completed.
