Fergie: ‘drug talk angers PRs’

Black Eyed Peas star Fergie has admitted her publicists “hate” her talking about her past struggles with drugs.

Fergie has admitted her PRs don't like her talking about her past addiction to drugs, The Times reports. The Black Eyed Peas star has often spoken of her struggles with drugs but says she doesn't care that her publicists would rather she didn't discuss it. "Sometimes publicists get really mad with me for talking about stuff like that - but I don't care," Fergie explained. "For me, it's something I went through. It's an epidemic, and it's important to talk about it because it's a very, very hard thing to stop. I'm trying to get a thicker skin. I like to be aware of people's perceptions of me, but when you put it as a priority, as a means to judging your worth, that's when it can be dangerous. There's no rule book on how to do this."
