Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series went to Sopranos star Edie Falco. In true awards ceremony style Edie gushed, "You're not supposed to get this attached because it's a transient business. I have fallen in love with these people and I don't know how you walk away from that." The Sopranos also won the award for Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble In A Drama Series
