Divorce made Jessica Simpson “want to die”

Jessica Simpson has said she “wanted to die” during her divorce from ex-husband Nick Lachey.

Jessica Simpson has admitted to feeling suicidal during her public divorce from ex-husband Nick Lachey. “It's one thing to have your marriage fail, but then there's another thing to have the entire world watch your marriage fail. It's like dealing with a death," Jessica told People magazine before explaining how she's left the past behind, “I don't want anybody that's been in my life [before] in my life any more," she said. "I don't even want them to have any way of contacting me."
