Having wowed us all with her Golden Globe wins, Kate went on to hugely embarrass herself with her acceptance sobs (sorry, that should be speech). But even more cringeworthy was when she forgot the name of one of the other nominees, Angelina Jolie. “I’m so sorry Anne, Meryl, Kristin,” Kate said during the show. “And who was the other one?... Angelina!” We’re sorry but how could ever forget Angelina Jolie? First, she’s one of the most beautiful women on the planet, second, she’s one of the world’s most famous women, and third, she was sitting next to Brad Pitt. Surely your eyes would be heading in that direction anyway? We know ours were. When asked about the incident Kate claimed it was entirely innocent. “My mind went so blank,” she told The Mirror. “It was such an amazing moment.” Our favourite part of her speech was the part where she told the show’s organisers that she was “so not wrapping up right now…” as they tried to play the music to end her speech. Now that’s guts for you!
