Britney Spears given another MTV Awards chance

Troubled Britney Spears may be given another chance to perform at this year’s MTV Awards.

Despite her atrocious 2007 showing Britney Spears could be handed another chance at this year’s MTV Awards the music channel’s president has said. “Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?” Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music Group told The Associated Press. Britney’s performance of Gimme More at last year’s show was widely panned but when asked by reporters if he was joking Toffler said, “Sorta, who knows? I'm not sure how we top Britney opening the show.”
