Britney and Avril Lavigne form unlikely friendship

Britney Spears seems to have recruited pop rival Avril Lavigne as her latest clubbing buddy.

Although there has been no love lost between the singers in the past, Avril and Britney were seen clubbing together at the Hyde Lounge in West Hollywood.
 
Just four months ago, Avril criticised Britney's fall from grace, saying that the 25-year-old mother of two could not handle the pressures of fame.
 
'What's happened to Britney is all down to who she is as a person,' Avril said.
 
'If you want a piece of this business you have to be able to deal with it. You can't complain about the pressures, the paparazzi, the madness, because that's your job.'
 
Avril also lashed out at Britney for dressing 'like a showgirl' and dancing 'like a ho'.
 
However, the pair seemed to have put their differences behind them on their recent outing and they even shared a ride to another Hollywood hotspot after their stint at Hyde.
