Brangelina buy £21m chateau

Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have spent a fortune on a luxurious French chateau.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have defied rumours they are set to split by buying a £21million chateau, sources have told the Sunday Mirror. Insiders say the couple have splashed out on the 17th-Century Chateau Miraval, set on a 1,000-acre estate in Provence. "They want to make sure this very romantic property becomes the love nest of all love nests," a local property developer told the paper. "Brad is looking into local schools for the kids, and both he and Angelina are improving their French." Insiders say they also plan to spend £6million improving the 35 bedroom home adding steam rooms, jacuzzis, a spa, gym, motorbike track and helicopter landing facilities as well greatly increased security. "The application has been received for widespread work on their new house, and we are delighted that they will be here permanently," Jean-Claude Sadion, mayor of the nearby town of Correns, said. "They are a wonderful couple with beautiful children and we will hold a civic reception to honour them."
