David and Victoria Beckham have flown back to their home in Los Angeles less than a week after David's father, Ted, suffered a near-fatal heart attack.

David and Victoria BeckhamThe LA Galaxy star was visibly distraught when pictured flying to Britain to be by his father's side after learning of the heart attack last week.

However on Saturday 29th September, Ted, a 59-year-old gas fitter, was said to be in a stable condition at the London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green, east London.

Victoria Beckham had also cut short a promotional tour in Japan to be with her husband and father-in-law.

However, after hearing of Ted's recovery, the couple flew back from Heathrow.

'Ted's much better now. They wouldn't be going otherwise,' Beckham's spokesman Simon Oliveira told the Daily Star.

'He should be out soon. They are both really pleased with how he's doing.'
